Enterprises are Delhi based manufacturers and exporters of Auto
Spare Parts. The main market for their products lies in Middle
East and some parts of Europe. The client wanted a catalog that
one couldn't copy, and one that was inexpensive to replicate
and distribute.
Print catalogs were perceived
to be susceptible to copying and to involve high printing and
distribution costs. Various other options were suggested-
- catalog on password protected pages on
client's website
- pdf catalogs for each category, for ease
of distribution through email or CDs
- CD-ROM based slide show catalog
Finally, the third option
was selected based on its ability to deliver impact - because
of its animated audio-video format, it would help stand out
from the clutter that exists in the auto parts industry. Two,
the photographs of products couldn't be copied. Three, it was
convenient and much cheaper to replicate. Four, the costs involved
in sending a couple of Cds to far away countries was negligible.
Five, they could be written onto Business Card shaped CDs which
the client could use on his visits abroad. |
